Our Commitment to Training and Development
At IMAGE, training begins at the recruiting stage. We conduct 2-day "H.I.R.E." sessions (Hire Individuals, Retain Employees) worldwide where we interview prospective candidates via a series of presentations, role-plays, group exercises, photo shoots, testing and orientation to the "IMAGE" way. Over the two days, we get to know you, and you get to know us. Our process goes much more in-depth than the one-hour interview or phone screen as conducted by some of our competitors. We want to ensure your success with IMAGE right from the start. Candidates are selected at the end of the second day based on the ability to meet various behavioural, attitudinal and technical standards in the unique environment created during the two-day interview.
Once selected for employment and prior to joining your first ship, you will spend a week at New Hire Orientation at our dedicated Training Facility in Miami. This training provides you with valuable skills for future use in your career. The curriculum is designed and directed by our Training Manager.
At IMAGE we are committed to safeguarding our natural environment. Once onboard, you will go through an extensive Environmental Training Program to make certain that you (and every member of your team) have a solid understanding of our comprehensive environmental policies and practices. |
