Q. What is the nature of your company's business?
A. IMAGE is the largest provider of photographic, video and tax free photo retail services to the cruise industry.
Q. When was the company founded? Who was it founded by?
A. In 1987 by John Davies in the Cayman Islands.
Q. How many onboard staff does the company currently employ?
A. Over 300.
Q. What differentiates IMAGE from your competitors?

Q. Do I need a passport/visa?
A. Yes, you must have a valid passport from your country of citizenship. You must also obtain a "Seaman's C1/D" visa. This visa is not required for US Citizens or Canadian nationals. The company will provide all documentation necessary for you to apply for your visa.
Q. What is the standard contract length?
A. At IMAGE you work for six to eight continuous months and then receive six weeks vacation after successful completion of the contract. The first contract will be for 8 months only.

A. Whilst we generally hire people with either formal qualifications or photo experience, we also hire non-photographers, provided you have the RIGHT ATTITUDE, ENTHUSIASM and PERSONALITY! We are looking for people with potential, who would like to better themselves and invest 3-5 years to develop a career with Image. This is an ideal CAREER opportunity.
Q. Is there a training program?
A. Yes. Before you join a vessel, you will attend a new hire training session, to prepare you for your work and life at sea. Once onboard, you will continue your training under the guidance of our dedicated training staff and your Photo Manager. You may also be chosen to attend one of our many specialist training courses including digital photography. As you advance to the position of Photo Manager, you will be scheduled to attend our Manager's Training program.
Q. How will this help my career as a professional photographer?
A. IMAGE specializes in operating some of the worlds busiest and most successful social photography venues. While working with IMAGE you will learn valuable skills in all aspects of photography including posing, lighting, printing skills, lab skills and many more.
Q. How am I paid?
A. You are paid cash onboard after each cruise on a team commission basis.
